On February 7, 2022, the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD) held a webinar on “Smoking in the Maritime Industry.” The event was moderated by TSSD Deputy Executive Board Chairman Mr. Mustafa Koçak, with Chief Engineer Müfit Uçgun serving as the guest speaker.

During the webinar, Mr. Uçgun provided a comprehensive overview of the prevalence of smoking in the maritime industry and its impact on the health of seafarers. He discussed the risks associated with smoking among mariners and the necessary safety measures that should be taken to ensure their well-being.
