On October 18, 2021, the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association (TSSD) held a webinar titled “The Impact of Smoking on Epigenetic Changes.” The webinar was moderated by TSSD Executive Board President and Board Member Prof. Dr. Melahat Dönmez and featured Dr. Gülsen Meral, a Pediatric Health and Diseases Specialist and President of the Nutrigenetics and Epigenetics Association, as the guest speaker.

During the seminar, Dr. Meral provided an in-depth analysis of how smoking affects epigenetic changes. She discussed how tobacco smoke can alter genetic structures and the consequent health implications of these changes.
